Special Events and Field Trips
Cortona Academy offers a number of special events and field trips. For example, we take groups out to lunch monthly with a recognized expert in a particular area – art, drama, technology, novelists, musicians, inventors, etc. – in order to enhance the students appreciation of the expert’s particular field, and to expose them to options available to them in the future.
We offer trips to earn high school credits to Rome, Venice, Florence, Pompeii and, of course, Cortona, Italy. We also take field trips to the many outstanding educational resources and opportunities in the Metro area, such as operas, theatrical performances, interactive scientific and cultural exhibits, technology demonstrations, as well as trips as to New York and Italy.
